Reflection time.
Over my four month hiatus there's been quite a bit of change. Nonetheless, I am still breathing- something I had to stop myself to slow down and do lately. I've had a heartbreak, headaches, and lots of lightbulb moments since my last post. But... I'm back. (Let's be real, how many times have I said that on social media before?) Crossing my fingers that I get back into writing on here regularly and revamp TF a little.

Onto the present: It's summer and I've relocated. If we're talking clothes, I haven't worn jeans in four days. Change is the trending topic here; I love it.

Here are some photos from yesterday afternoon that I honestly hadn't planned on posting. Hey, it's all good though because I found an excuse to jump back into my favorite hobby.

I didn't forget- Happy fourth friends! Have fun + be safe. See you soon.

There's a lot going on here, and not just on my clothing rack.
It's sort of funny how I chose to type this post today as there's glimpse of a clear blue sky out my window. Sitting here on my bed, I know not to be fooled though because my weather app tells me it's just a little above 40 degrees. (Ha.)
Onto important things, versatile pieces that can be used for layering are a must for the cold days. My clothing rack the past few months have been a cycle of the same things: Denim textures, an earthy color palette, black, and two staple accessories.

1. DENIM ON DUTY
Surprise! What do you know, another post where I cover my growing obsession for denim everything. Need I say more? Distressed jeans? Yes. Denim jackets? Double yes.

2. EARTHY TONES
This isn't entirely Kanye's fault. Although Yeezy seasons constitute a lot of earthy colors, I naturally lean towards muted tones.

3. BLACKOUT
Plain and simple.

4. GO TOs
Somewhere on TF I've mentioned my search to find a great sized backpack. After the holidays I was lucky to find my grey go to for only $7.99.
I had never thought I'd want a pair of sneakers to wear daily, dressed up or down. If we're speaking in terms of comfort, I highly recommend investing in some Adidas Stan Smiths.

Confession time. I filmed a collective haul video mentioning where some of the items above are from. To post or not to post?

Even though we've advanced greatly in technology, and I posess several new devices, there's something I love about disposable cameras. It's exciting to snap pics, not be able to see the results, then wait for them to be developed. Growing up, my parents have collected a mass amount of prints- I hope to too! I really wanted to embrace that (sort of) cheesy saying: capture the moment. No filters, tripod, or additional touch ups were necessary. There is a different kind of beauty about these that separates film photos from digitally taken ones.
As if I haven't done this enough (on Instagram & YouTube), let's recap summer:
2 am, sitting outside of the venue, and Jack Antonoff from Bleachers. BTW- okay I lied above, here's one black and white filter.

P.S. Summertime- come back, it's too cold out here in December :(

(All photos taken with a Fujifilm QuickSnap Flash 400 35mm disposable camera)

May has been full of headaches and heartaches, lots of raised 'brows and side-eye glares- thanks school. The month has been an utter mess, and to get me through some of the toughest weeks, I created a playlist. A little cheesy, I know. But, I wanted to expand my content on Threaded Flower; what better way than to share some of my favorite tunes? So here's something handwritten and a lil inspired by Tavi's Rookie Mag:

A few things:
- Sorry if my handwriting's driving you crazy with the jumble of lowercase and capital letters
- Several of these songs have already been featured on here
- I might start sharing these monthly instead of have a "song to check out" below each post? I might do both? Hmm...
By looking at the amount of times several of the artists above reoccur, it's safe to say they are my favorite at the moment. Lany, Tove Styrke, and Alina Baraz... I think I'll save further explanation and my fangirl comments for a future post...
I've also been obsessed with the free music app, Spotify, which allows you to accumulate songs in a folder; yay, organzation! You can listen to all of the tracks listed above below:

Here's to expanding our musical horizons and to the start of June.
Xo,

1. Zip Up Pouch (that latches in bag)
To store electronic items such as earbuds, a car charger, and my phone/usb cord
2. Phone
A given right?
3. Sunnies + Case
Only if the suns out to play.
4. Gum
Fun fact: I actually don't like chewing gum. When it comes to a form of breath refresher I lean towards mints instead. As of right now I don't have any on me, so Orbit will do.
5. Keys
With a mini pepper spray and reward cards attached.
6. Coin Purse
Holds whatever form/amount of money I need to have on me that day and cards.
7. Traveling make-up case
(Usually Consists of) My everyday lipstick and lip liner, a lip balm (EOS or Baby Lips), Daisy by Marc Jacobs' roll on perfume, tissues, a compact mirror, hair ties, extra/emergency feminine products, and a cotton swab or two that I put in that day for makeup corrections
I like to keep myself organized with the help of make up bags to store everything. A few years back, I once read the acronym "PMILK" in Seventeen and it's stuck with me ever since. It is just an easy way to remember the five essentials when heading out (especially to a party): Phone, money, ID, lip-gloss, keys. This always pops in my head when thinking about what to carry along with me.

Alina
